Time Flies

It is December, one month left of the 2019 year . . . . . .  and the cold winds are rustling the golden brown leaves in the trees that reflect the sun. There is a glow.
It is amazing how fast the time has gone this year.  Much done, but yet not enough of what I wanted.  It is easy to get distracted by little things, especially online on the computer.

One Month into 2019 - new adventures in travel and art

Looking forward to do more art and sketching this year.
I am working with architectural line drawings along with watercolor views of the same buildings.  This one is of the Chrysler Building in New York City.

 The cold weather in the Midwest has been harsh, but it is above 0 today.

I also hope to keep this blog more active with posts.

Camino Frances

A memorable experience is the Camino Frances.  With the new year, I will post some reflections on this.  This year, after walking the Camino Frances across Spain, has been cleaning out the basement of papers and books of past academic activities of 40 years and moving into new experiences of doing more art, photography, Spanish lessons, and Piano lessons.

Back to Wisconsin from Mexico

2018.  January. Just returned from an amazing trip to rural Mexico in to the mountains and coffee farms.  Beautiful landscape and good people to know all around.
Will be trying to add more here again.  Can't believe that a year has passed since last post.  So much has changed.  I have left teaching at the University and now will be doing my art. 

February 2017

Trying to make this a more active site with notes on the inspiration and meaning drawn from sketching and drawing and art out and about.
Working on a project for COFAC CREATES - Expressions of Place LINK.  It will be part of a gallery show (Agnes Jones Gallery) in March to April.  Also looking forward to participating in the 55th World Wide SketchCrawl event (LINK) in April - near earthday!
